COVID 19 UPDATE – May 2021

We hope you continue to keep well and are remaining positive in light of the changing guidance from Monday 17th May. We have so much more freedom and opportunity now that restrictions are easing and we are

working hard behind the scenes as we plan to gently increase group sizes, gain access to the community venues we love so much and reinstate face to face family support sessions.

We are proceeding with caution as we are conscious that the risk is still very real and we will continue with our strict cleaning and PPE guidelines. Staff, volunteers and external parties attending sessions with the young people we work with are all subject to weekly testing and nearly all of our staff are fully vaccinated.

We are still limiting numbers on site but can have larger groups in local parks and can access most of the places we missed so much. We will not yet access swimming, gyms or soft play due to the risks involved with these but will keep it under review as we enter the summer time.

Our office staff continue to work both from home and the office in order to minimise risk and we won’t reopen the RMC fully until at least June 21st.

We are thankful to all our families, staff and volunteers who have taken care and precaution throughout the pandemic and are extremely proud that there have been no cases of covid on site within Umbrella.

As always, our team will continue to communicate with families and ensure that the support you receive is of the highest quality in all the circumstances.
