I started volunteering for Umbrella nearly 13 years ago, simply because I had spare time to give outside of my full time job and wanted to do something within the community. Umbrella had been mentioned to me as a great charity to volunteer for, hence the decision was made to contact them. They were not wrong!! It is the best decision I made, the highlight of my week and brings so much joy, laughter and fulfilment. I am extremely lucky to volunteer with the INDE group who are a beautiful group of amazing young adults.
I would recommend to anyone to give volunteering a try. As it is the most rewarding, fun way of spending my free time. I class myself as very lucky to be able to continue volunteering and share my time with children and young adults at Umbrella
