Over the last few years the Charitable Trust at Toyota Manufacturing in Burnaston have become great friends to us at Umbrella. It all started when we were lucky enough to receive a £5,000 Lucy Prince award in 2016 to set up a youth club for young people with High Functioning Autism. At that time, we were invited along to Toyota and met some of the team along with members of senior management to talk about what we. We have stayed in touch ever since. The youth group was subsequently set up and has become very a popular, well attended session.
The girls at Toyota came back to see us in October with a film crew as they were making a video as part of their 25 years in Derby celebrations. They wanted to talk about the charities they support but as you will see from the video, that wasn’t all they were up to!
